Chester Town Wide Tag Sale- Tradition of 25 years of Treasure Hunting
Saturday, May 24, 2014- Memorial Day Weekend (8AM – 4PM)

Once a year, over 80 Chester homeowners clean out garages, attics, barns and basements. What’s for sale? Everything and anything–Tools, antiques, non-antiques, coins, clothes, books, and other things that catch the attention of dealers, residents and area neighbors who don’t realize what they need until they find it!

To be listed on the map, you must be a Chester resident or business and your sale address must be in Chester. Proceeds from listing fees, map sales, and advertising on the map are used to promote the event throughout Connecticut and to benefit the Chester Republican Town Committee’s general fund.

Rain or Shine
This is New England and the cows get milked every day. So if it rains, your gain (fewer people mean better deals and selection).

Maps for a Buck
The town opens their doors to treasure seekers who come far and near to buy or simply to wander through Town. Maps that highlight each Tag Sale location are for sale ($1) at exit ramps and along the entrances to the Town center. It is not too late for residents to put their house on the map — contact Kris ( or pick up an entry form from Heritage Century-21 Real Estate in the Town Center before May 21.

Make a day of it and enjoy our beautiful Town!
When you are ready to take a break, our restaurants welcome you with coffee, fresh baked treats, and great food any time of day. Our downtown merchants will welcome you with open arms with shelves stocked with special and unique objects of desire.

Make a day of it! If you want to learn about our town, walk into the Chester Historical Society’s Museum at the Mill in the center of town where you can learn about the Life and Industry along the Pattaconk.

Please Drive Carefully and Good Luck!
