Band Geeks

May 13 – May 16

Norma Terris Theatre

A high-stepping tribute to high school marching bands and misfits everywhere!  With just nine members and dwindling funds, the Cuyahoga High Marching Beavers are close to extinction.  When a troubled athlete is relegated to their ranks, Elliott, the tuba-playing band captain and Laura, his best friend, must find a way to unite the band, embrace their inner geek and save the Marching Beavers.  A rousing and triumphant musical for all ages!

Purchase tickets to the show online here.

Chester Sunday Market, 2010 Season

In Chester CT Events, Market on May 10, 2010 at 9:09 pm

The Chester Sunday Market will begin it’s second season Sunday, June 13, 2010. I can’t believe it is almost a year ago we came out in droves to support our downtown market. Time flies and thank goodness, I have missed the market. The calendar is up on their website so make sure to keep checking to see what is coming. Check out the vendor list … my mouth was watering just reading about all the great purveyors. They have everything you need to know right down to how to get there. So no excuses for not coming to at least one Sunday Market this season.

Bet you didn’t know they used all local CT businesses to get them up & running so far. That is just plain cool. It is going to be a great summer on the lake this year. Can’t wait for them to start doing lunch & dinner… and I heard they were going to make coffee slushes … that brings iced coffee to a whole new level. Pop in and say hi to the girls and welcome them to their new perch overlooking the lake.

Long before the current Renaissance in Celtic music Steve Schuch and the Night Heron Consort were  putting their own innovative stamp on that rich tradition. Fusing Celtic roots with classical and contemporary influences, their music has been described as both riveting and magical.
