Become a Co-Op Member

By becoming a Member of The Local Beet Co-Op, you are:

-Providing the seed money to help them grow
-Strengthening the local economy and ensuring a vibrant downtown
-Supporting local farmers and environmentally friendly business

You do not have to be a member to shop at The Co-Op, but membership allows you to have a vote in directing its future. Co-ops are collectively owned and democratically run.

With the $150 membership, you also become an owner.
A yearly maintenance fee of $25 will help us with administrative costs.

Vote for your favorite “beauty”

How Voting works (two ways)

1. Between now and the evening before the event, each contestant is fund raising on their own and will turn those dollars in to be counted as votes. $1 equals one vote

2. The night of the event attendees will have two chances to vote for their favorite contestant by purchasing “vote” tickets, 1 ticket for a $1 or 10 tickets for $5. There will be collection containers for each contestant that attendees can put their “vote” tickets into. The two times to vote will be at the beginning of the event, before the show starts and during intermission when the “ladies” will be out in force working the room for donations.

The votes will be counted and used to determine the winnner and runners up.

No donation is too small or too large!
All proceeds go to the Chester Community Fund, supplying our neighbors in need
with fuel, food and basic everyday necessities.Thank you!

Tickets are $35 and may be purchased in advance at:

The Hammered Edge, Chester Package Store and The Villager

or at the door. Please note there are a limited number of tickets, so get them early!

Dinners at the Farm: Farm to Table

Dinners at the Farm was featured on the Cooking Channel show Unique Eats on 2/27/2011. Barberry Hill Farm in Madison was the location of the filming. These open-air dinners celebrate Connecticut’s farms, food and community.
